ERNIE Bot itself first launched March 16, 2023 running on the ERNIE 3.0 model; it was upgraded to the ERNIE 3.5 foundation model in June 2023 (Robin Li announced the 3.5 iteration at the WIC Nishan Dialogue on June 26, 2023). The ERNIE-3.5-8K endpoint remains a free Qianfan tier today.
